God, this shit reminds me of the time shortly after hitting drinking age when I bought a purple steel reserve and drinking it at 1 pm on a monday is hell. The first sip was like okay, then after that it went to the shitter and I wanted to die 8 ounces in, but I was too much of a jew to throw it out and drank it.
Why does anyone drink this shit? I'm convinced the high alcohol content shitty beer exist solely because it can be sold at gas stations, why would anyone drink that shit over cheap whiskey or vodka.

Haven't bothered since they did the abv reduction. I do recall in the hype of Four Loko another caffeine infused beer was released and at my local 7-11 they put that shit in with the energy drinks without it being marked in their system as alcohol so tons of local kids went in to buy the new "energy drink". It was good times for a few days, very good times.

2 cans of 4loko has as much alcohol as half a 750mL bottle of 40% ABV liquor. It was a very cheap and quick way to get completely trashed back when I used to drink. Wild Irish Rose, MD 2020... it didn't really matter. They were useful accelerants. Not gonna waste money buying Steele reserve, though, when I could get a 15 pack of Colt 45 for 9 dollars and enjoy a superior product.

Same here man, ever since I could get my hands on them I'd drink around 2 of the 42 ounce bottles a day. Steele Reserve is a work horse, gave me panson de borracho though as my coworkers would say. That was when shit was kinda fucked when I was young, but now that shit is more stable I try not to drink, but that 211 and hurricane still call out to me man. 4lokos no more since they give me acid reflux, green apple though is a pretty good taste for an apple soda though.
