Some things dont need toasted bread. They need chewy doughy untoasted. Toasting it on a sloppy is such a hard contrast to the meat slop it isn't good.

For me, it's the chili melt sandwich, although I suppose I like it a bit differently from how it's usually done. What I like to do is, I take a baguette, slice open one side, remove some of the insides to create a cavity and then cram as much chili and cheese in there as I can fit. That way there's a ton of chili in there but it doesn't spill everywhere when you eat it.
