you can buy pretty fucking excellent beer at most stores in the US, but the specific ones available very from city to city

Just my opinion but the only beers that are truly terrible are Busch and Rolling Rock. Other than that I can drink everything else.

Dunno if it'd be available in your area but I really like Swami's by Pizza Port. It's just the right level of "craft," strong and with some depth to the flavor but still tastes like beer and not some fruity bullshit.
