Right there with you, anon. Back when I traveled for work, I had them for breakfast far more often than I should have. Now I just get them occasionally.

I'm glad McD's has never changed them. I remember when they first came out in the early '90s and they were exactly the same. Contrast that with Chick-fil-A, who removed the peppers and onions from their breakfast burrito and replaced them with cheaper potatoes.

You know, I like TB's breakfast burritos myself but it seems anytime I try to order them in the morning the staff is all disoriented and confused. You'd swear that no one ever got breakfast there, but they've had breakfast for a pretty long time now.

I obviously can't speak for that specific store, but I do know from my experience in fast food that the morning shift has to prepare for lunch and tie-up any loose ends from the previous night. It's a way to get employees to come in and do cleaning and prep work, but also to keep money flowing into the store. These places *really* hate paying wages *especially* if you're not actively making money. Clearly their desire is to automate everything eventually.

It's not unusual to be cleaning something and have to stop and make food. I always tried to wash my hands, but you don't always get a chance. The manager is screaming at you to hurry up and get the customer out of the drive-thru. Compare to lunch and dinner shifts where you are doing hundreds of orders an hour, and you actually learn your job.
