Is anyone else ever momentarily weirded out by the fact that food is sitting inside us after we eat?

I ate a hamburger and thought "wow, that hamburger is inside my stomach right now. 5 minutes ago it was sitting on my table."

And it's weird because I don't feel one hamburger heavier.

None, I don't smoke weed and I quit cigs a couple years ago.

It would be weirder if we couldn't just put food inside us and had to vomit our stomach up to absorb nutrients like a starfish.
Also the percentage of your body weight that a hamburger possesses is not noticeable. Even entering an eating contest will only result in 3-5 lbs of food which is a fraction of your weight.
Literally every animal eats by absorbing nutrients, it's advantageous to put the whole food in so you can move around and do other stuff.
Were you high when you came up with this thread?

I hate the feeling of satisfied hunger, it's like post nut clarity. Everytime i crave something, i fucking love it and when i'm full i'm like wow, was it THAT good ?

Your clothes probably weigh as much as a couple of burgers, do you feel noticeably heavier when you are dressed than just before you get in the shower?

What's the deal with water? You drink it, it goes right through you. Water goes in, water comes out... I suspect it doesn't actually do anything while it's in there other than turn yellow for no good reason. Are we just wasting time? After you pee it out, it becomes part of the water supply again, so even from the water's perspective it was pointless. But it gets worse: this process has happened trillions of times to trillions of creatures, so there likely isn't a single drop of water that hasn't been somebody's urine. I propose the sixth law of thermodynamic: entropy ultimately converts the entire universe to urine.

I like your last point because it is likely true. The water we take in is used by the kidneys to filter your blood bro, the yellow stuff is urea and other blood impurities

One day I ate and then fasted for 4ish days. On the 4th day I finally pooped. So it took my body about 4 days for the food to go in and for the unused leftovers come out. By this time my stomach was, truly, empty except for the water/tea I was drinking.

Then I thought about how many times I used to eat p/day and thought about all of that food sitting on top of each other. How it barely had time to be digest before more food was introduced. Now it blows my mind how people poop more than 1 time p/day. How much you eat = how much you poop.

>And it's weird because I don't feel one hamburger heavier.
If you don't eat for a couple of days you will, definitely, feel one hamburger heavier.

Technically, food is not inside your body after you eat it
The inside of your digestion system is still the outside of your body, that's why so many microbes live there
You are a food and feces filled flesh doughnut

not when you realize it's technically still outside of you

what weirds me out is that all weight loss occurs through breathing

Not true. There is huge variability in digestive rates
Some people have fast digestions systems where it only takes 12 hours to go from stem to stern. In others, it takes 3 days for food to be processed

It's not so much that it is biological abnormal, it's just that the processes of life are kind of weird if you think about it

dude I'm going to fuck with you big time.

When you eat, and until the food is absorbed by your intestines in to your blood stream it's not inside you.

you could take your finger place it on your skin and run it from the outside of your mouth down your throat, and through your digestive tract out your butthole without lifting it (were it long and thin enough).
