in-n-out is really cheap and it is indeed delicious for the price.
The fries aren't great, but it's kind of nice to get something different than just "fast food fries". animal style helps (or just cheese fries)
getting extra spread on the side for dipping fries is also good

also people in this thread are seething about california being bad. I live in santa barbara and it's paradise. I'm about to go surfing, chill, at the park, and then get in-n-out. I can do this 320+ days a year, almost every day is beautiful and has perfect weather. I used to live in the south and the quality of life here in california is just so much better. I never really want to go back.

The regular fries are fine, faggots don't know wtf they're talking about. Animal style is a nice upgrade, though. Every location I've been to, the workers are pretty serious about their job and to-the-point, which I like. Not as overtly nice and welcoming as the infamous chik fil a service but still above and beyond other shithouse fast food places. The burgers are great, shakes are good, and all the prices are low for the quality you get in comparison to any other chain, including low tier stuff like McD's and Burger King to mid tier stuff like 5 guys. Drive thru lines are long, the restaurant is usually filled with obnoxious "hip" people, and there is no GrubHub delivery (at least in my area), which guarantees you're spending a minimum of 25 minutes at the restaurant unless you get there at a special time when no one is there, but they seem to be packed busy from open to close. Really good, like a 4/5 or 9/10 fast food restaurant, but the limited locations mean it's cheaper and way faster for me to just get Wendy's or a similar local Mom and Pop burger stand instead of taking literally 45-60 minutes out of my day to get a fucking cheeseburger, fries and a shake.
