She actually experienced silent racism at her kitchen workplace. Shes ignored at work because shes smart and talented and quiet and reserved. She is ignored at work and doesn't get paid enough because she doesn't have a "white approved" attitude aka acting like a marvel movie character with quips and high energy and mindlessness and quirkiness.
