One of the sides was southwest salad which often has an acidic dressing and/or lime juice. That's also what all the pickles are for.

>> No.14301344

>>14301325
Nah, I meant fresh salad. The onion and pickle reserves just make it even less appealing. The salad/bread to meat ratio should be as close to 1:2. Its too little greenery for the amount of meat there is. The red cabbage and apple colslaw works but too much mayo makes it also "heavy" too. I wouldnt mind to have a tray like that for a picnic though. The meats can be used to make some nice sandwiches.

Mostly they taste good and work as a palate cleanser but I've found that pickles help mitigate the bloated feeling you get from fatty and greasy foods or too much meat in general. IDK if there's any real science behind that but it works for me.

I've seen this BBQ webm many times. Gloves on, gloves off, gloves on, oh and for sure gloves off when touching the final plate. The fact he uses his hands on the food some of the time, and dispenses in a scoop at other times, yet no gloves at all at other times is as disgusting as his tattoos up each arm.
It shows you how much he does not actually maintain a sterile field when no one is looking to keep him accountable. It shows you how they steam the brisket and there's no actually crusty bark texture. He's just awkward.
Not sure where it is, but it's obvious they're plating and doing things awkwardly outdoors away from their bench, for a camera not to catch their dirty kitchen floor or surroundings they didn't want on film for being poorly lit, too busy, or something like that.

As a child, they watched Yan Can Cook, and Ron Popeil, style over substance kind of sleaze salesman Home Show demo kinds of flourishes.

Though they may be slicing in this application, they're using the rhythm and technique to kind of get your balance using a cleaver. When and if the knife is in your hand, it's an extension of your hand. Just before getting some leverage to forward leaning, there's the tap. He's just getting his grip, they are kind of doing a nerve and muscle test. It's like a drummer tapping on the rim of his drum, and then automatically knowing how far that arm will move next to hit the center drum, or some other sweet spot they've practiced. Muscle conditioning and training. Like the batting cage, repetitive motions til muscle memory, building habit through practice. You look down at your keyboard oh there's that key, and from that point forward you can move to it without looking again.
Maybe they're more used to butchering?
Or just maybe they don't mind sharpening their knife more often?
Or just maybe they are dumb? I mean look at all the other examples in this video.

>i always assumed it's a way of signalling to yourself that it's time to work, like how japanese train engineers physically point to all the track signals to make sure they're not just fuguing out on autopilot

Almost.

They're on camera, most of all. When and if they do f up, various mages will be like running back a black box. Outdoor cameras of the quality they'd have at these spots might not detect actual eye movement (even if indoor can), but it would see the hand waving about and at what millisecond they did that. You aren't asleep/distracted/so zoned out you are daydreaming (or in this day and age, distracted by a cellphone) if they see you pointing. So, maybe what happened is you had a stroke after that.

Pointing, like you said, can also be a quality work assurance technique. You're multi-tasking, but on 2 things that are both relevant. In the train, the space shuttle, nuclear plant, hospital, airplane, even driving, those kinds of places, have 1, 2, 3, then do 4 scenarios practiced over and over. If you don't? Human error more likely with various levels of no do-over kinds of risks.

I used to work under a fume hood, and the chemical I worked with was benzene (hepatotoxic carcinogen), for which no exposure is safe, no oopsies, so you didn't do a thing that would cause a spill while pipetting in there, and you also didn't have anything or or decanted til home was on high, and door rolled down to your elbows, breathing protection, etc. All in the right order, or else!
A driver pointing with one's finger ensures you could be more likely mentally processing what you see, because you're involving the body not just the brain, it will not be past memories. It's like slapping the end of the pool each lap, clicking a counter and not maintaining a count of a number in your mind. Any system, stick to it, and when a mistake happens, oh boy, how, why, let's change the protocol to make it more foolproof.
