What is the appeal of crazy hot hotsauces? I have seen "hot ones" a few times, and whenever pic is introduced it's compared to battery acid and hellfire.

idk about that one but a lot of really super hot sauces are nice for adding to things in small doses because you get a decent spread of heat without changing the flavor too much. i usually add some to spaghetti sauce for example

some zoomer will replay to this with a wojak

It gives baby zoom zooms something to repost over and over since every generation before them has removed all wonder from the world and left them to become brain dead armchair philosophers who spend all day playing Minecraft/fortnite and complaining about hot sauce.

Basically if it has capsicum extract like this >>14255980 it will taste like shit.

Have you tried using red pepper flake instead?

ya but sometimes i want things spicier than red pepper flakes will get it. plus enough flakes will change the flavor too much

>> No.14256085

extract-based hotsauces (like da bomb) taste like pure garbage, fuck them. However, you can still get in the high hundred-thousand SHUs without extract, and they still carry lots of character as well as plenty of heat.

well at least on hot ones i think it's an interesting interview concept and kind of makes the guest let their guard down. but there's really no reason to eat exceptionally hot sauces like this.

I've tried Da Bomb and it is garbage. not only is it insanely hot but it just tastes bad

You could be using chili flake which is slightly different.

Crushed red pepper should only make things hotter rather than change the flavor, but hey, if it achieves the heat you want, its probably fine!
