Tea snobs are worst because tea is inherently the simplest but white people get really autistic about temperatures and brewing times and expensive tea ware. It's just a simple infusion with little precision necessary. Coffee is necessarily a fermented product involving roasting and grinding steps but really most coffee autism is stupid. Alcohol in general can get extremely complex and some snobbery is legitimate although wine autism is a waste of money and cocktail autism is fine if not for all the bartender roleplayers who obsess over spherical ice and buying special equipment just to mix liquids.

I'd consider myself a bit of a coffee snob.

Instant is fine if you just want a vehicle to get caffeine in your system. With milk and sugar it turns into an enjoyable drink.

'Real' coffee is obviously a much more unique and complex experience, but I think it has a big barrier for people used to milk and sugar instant.

As long as you're not getting an expensive coffee and putting milk and sugar in I don't really give a shit what you do.
