Why I use Knorr stock pot? It just tastes better.

Why does he keep doing it bros? I can see the pain in his eyes, is it really worth the money?

Bought stock pots as a joke because we do Marco impressions when we're cooking. Actually quite like them. Still sometimes buy them but sometimes don't as there is no recipe.

I think he just doesn't care anymore, at least not in the way he might've done a long time ago. Stressful life career, literally gave up his michelin stars, and now doesn't really have much of anything - can't imagine any of that made him happy.

So...he wasted his life and now has nothing to show for it save for a sponsorship with Knorr stockpots?
Christ someone get this kid a tree and a rope already.

It's especially sad because he actually accomplished so much. At his time, he was the youngest chef to ever get michelin stars. Had documentaries about him, was considered to be hot shit at the time, etc etc. Ramsay even worked for him and he was one of the people who molded Ramsay into what he is today (I believe Ramsay also then broke the record for youngest chef to get michelin stars, which you'd hope would make Marco proud and not jealous). He definitely shits on us for the most part, but then the latter half of his life he just threw it away. Just seems like he got depressed if anything.

Add to that a very disappointing, downright embarrassing, son. Marriages that can't longer than 2 years, if thaat.
And, he might as well be a convict or something else disgraceful himself, because by his own words, he lived his youth scoffing and bullying at other people, and nowadays in the MeToo and anti-bully sensibilities, modern society finds that deplorable.
You get away with some things in your youth, but then you are expected to grow up and learn some manners. When your children look like they have personal hygiene and mental health problems? It's not far from the reality for the whole family.

it's clear that he's the type of person to become obsessed with his goals, and now that he's accomplished so much and has his estate and gardens and pigs he can't find anything to focus on and he's gone mad. that bourdain episode was one of the saddest things i've ever seen

Was this the episode you meant? I haven't watched much tv for the last 10 years or more, so I've missed out on a lot. Even if this wasn't what you were talking about, it's sad to hear - he clearly had a great passion and felt a lot of responsibility too, but just sounds like he didn't want to deal with it anymore. Even in the older videos of him cooking he was snarky and clever and sounded unimpressed all the time but it was obvious he was enjoying his time in a restaurant and was careful about what he made. His arguments here just make it sound like he reached the top and became disillusioned with it all.
