When I was growing up I could get a bag of frozen wings for like a buck at the independent grocers, that same bag is ~20 bucks now. I'm not complaining, it's a cycle. It'll go away, and something new will take its place.

I roast a whole chicken at least once a week. I always eat the wings first, because they are the best part. Crispy chicken skin > bland chicken meat. Breast is the worst and is always reserved for chicken salad or something else besides eating on its own. Wings are based.

Over a drum yes. Thigh is the best part of the chicken, no one should pick anything over that if we are talking about standard cuts. Breasts depends - they're white meat and extremely lean and most people cook them so they are extremely dry and flavorless. A good breast is a treat but by all accounts rare.

They braise them and make an absolutely delicious stew - that shit basically falls apart. There's a fair bit of fat on an oxtail but it straight up melts and just flavours itself. It used to be food eaten by the poor since it was a scrap compared to proper cuts, and then upperclass caught wind at how good it was and that shit skyrocketed in price after everyone wanted a piece. Similar thing with lobsters too, they had a stigma because they were bottomfeeders, now everyone loves them and pays out the ass for them.
