Onions. Onions are the bane of my existence. I feel sick when I eat them and I lose my appetite. However, a lot of recipes call for onions and seem to be lacking something when they aren't there. This thread is about recipes that lack onions from the get go, and perhaps more importantly, proper onion substitutes in a given dish. For example, on a pizza, say you want something with a particular texture, and with that acidic sweetness, but you don't like onions. Try pineapple. Now you have an onion substitute for pizza.

What are some good pot roast recipes that lack onion?
What are some good tartar sauces that lack onion?

Shallots, chives, green onions, leeks, are all the devil. I'm 30. This is familial. Entire diets and sometimes societies are built around not eating beef, or pork, or something with a face. I just don't like onions.

The kfc famous bowl is an excellent meal.
