Honestly Chef John's body of work cant even really be quantified at this point. Many major cookingtubers have already cited him as an inspiration, and even openly admitted he is a better and more knowledgeable cooking channel. His blend of professionalism, experience, and humble showmanship is perfect. He even interacts with a bunch of his fans on twitter!

Not even a shill, just really like the dudes channel.

Frankly, I've been watching Chef John since 2008 - a time when I was surviving on ramen, eggs, cereal, tendies and fast food burgers. My interest in the culinary arts and sciences had been around for a few years already, but I simply didn't know how to do it or have the time to spare (or so I thought).

Inspirational, yes, but so much more. The knowledge and guidance of his teachings is invaluable. He is very good at what he does. And most importantly, he doesn't have his ugly mug and annoying fucking edits like the douche in pic related.

He belongs in a hall of fame based on longetivity alone. His "inside out grilled cheese" was one of the first things that I made that wasn't one of the "family recipes", and that video turns 10 years old this tuesday. He was there before any other youtuber and probably will be whenever the current ones have faded out or sold out.
