/ck/ I need some advice. My father-in-law gave me a some jarred mackerel and jarred moose and I have no idea what to do with them. I've never eaten mackerel let alone jarred mackerel. What are some dishes I can make with these two jars?

It's good fried up and thrown on top of some mashed potatoes or just on some toast. Newfies eat it straight out the jar. Like other anon said soup isn't a bad idea.

Sauces, pies, Bolognese, you can propably do some fish patties with the mac, and some pasta sauce with the moose.
Maybe even burrito with the moose. If is already cooked just frie some garlic, onion, chug in a pan and add some tomatoe sauce.
Jesus, you can do a bazillion shit with those.

mix it with mayo and put on a slice of sourdough bread. We call this dish "white man's delight" in Korea.

Fish cakes, dawg. You gotta make them fish cakes.
For the moose mix it with parsley, caper, cornichon, and shallot, like steak tartare. You don't need the egg yolk since it's already moist enough. Plenty of salt and cracked black pepper to finish. Serve with crusty bread or crostini.
