Like any bean or chickpeas you can fry them til they're crispy and toss them in few spices as a snack, or mix with rice/cous cous etc.

Add it to stews or something, dal is an indian side dish made with them and it's tasty.

Honestly I don't see wh*toids ever getting excited over monggo. They only like lumpia because it's nonthreatening but it has an exotic new name. It's like how they go crazy over brazilian steak houses because it makes them feel like Indiana Jones while serving the exact same shit grandma ate in 1941.

What are we supposed to even call them in [current year], anyway? Special needs beans? Mentally challenged beans? Differently abled beans? I know 'mung' isn't right. That's what got Tracy Morgan fired.

>>13952005
I like to soak them until they are soft then puree until you've formed a batter of sorts. You can fold all manner of things into the batter like minced pork, sauteed mushrooms, kimchi, mung bean sprouts, whatever.
Depending on the consistency they can be cooked on a griddle or shallow fried like a fritter.
Google mung bean pancake for a variety of ingredients and methods.

Yeah, nah. If you need to proclaim you are powerful and it's not just generally known then you're really not that powerful.

Also, Filipino food is just plain inferior to Malaysian and Indonesian. The case can be made for tocino and loganisa but the rest is forgettable.

gave this a tray with a bag of dry beans, soaked overnight 400F in oven for like 20 mins, shuffled them around, another 20 mins and left them in the heat to dry out more as some weren't dry. Basically tastes liker edamame, nutty flavor. Got an absolute fuckton for $1, good idea for a snack. Will try to not overcook next time

something called hesarukallu (kannada for green bean) saaru

1) sprout slightly. This improves digestibility and protein quality. Good idea for beans in general, it gives you less gas.
2) boil the beans, save the water
3) cook some onions and mustard seeds in oil.
4) mix the onions, lentils, and liquid, eat with rice. Add butter/ghee

It's really good for when you're not hungry but still need to eat something. It has a very mild/bland quality to it, almost like oatmeal where you're kind of just eating it for fuel, but it's somewhat enjoyable.

Here's a different recipe that spices it up more: http://vegrecipesofkarnataka.com/487-hesaru-kalu-saru-recipe-molake-sprouts-sambar-moong.php

Good stuff anon. I sometimes do fried chickpeas or black eyed beans, usually with smoked paprika, chilli flakes, cumin, anything like that. You could even stick some honey over them at the end. Great snack with a few beers.
