>do supermarkets in other countries sell prepackaged sandwiches or is it only in england?
That sliced in half triangle slices thing is more and more rare in the USA. There are still some vending machines in businesses that have like a commissary/ staff cafeteria for some part of the day, and refilled daily for the night shift. You see them occasionally in convenience stores, but more often than not, it's the wrong kind of bread for a sandwich that isn't going to be eaten immediately. US bread isn't as dense and heavy, but cheaper fluffier and therefore, it sogs out. So, the premade sandwiches are typically on a bread roll, like a kaiser bun or hoagie roll, and then plastic wrapped all around, with a little sticker on it to describe it, and a second sticker to show when it expires. Often it's a grocery deli that makes them all day, but shuts the actual deli at some earlier hour and parks some premade sandwiches out there ready to grab and go for those in a hurry or late night. They'll package up all the leftover fried chicken, and little salads they used to dish out to order, as well.

Starbucks has a triangle sandwich, though, a chunky egg salad, on dark nutty wheat, and I think arugula on there. And, it's a refreshing grabbable sandwich, cold and soft. Just the right bit of herbal bite, and creaminess.

I like the sandwich choices in England, that curryfied coronation chicken is tdf, and I like the ploughmans style cheese and pickle, or anything with mango chutney, really.

This one, stuffing inside of a sandwich is very British. This isn't a norm in the US, bread inside bread, double starch, unless it's just some day after Thanksgiving kind of 7 layer creation.
I was once on British Airways, from I think Prague to Heathrow, and I was horrified, literally horrified to have a meatless stuffing on a roll given to me as the only choice of snack.

WTF, I didn't even know that was possible. Is this how vegans eat meatless in England??

I use to love eating the store bought pre-made sandwiches like tuna, egg, ham, etc. They were like $2 in the vending machines. Now, I go into the convenience stores and they're $4. For $4 you can get a 6 inch sub with anything you want on it or a warm burger. Fuck the "for your convenience" shit.
