No point, there's an awesome mom & pop shop on the same block where I live, I order a pickup and its ready in about 15 minutes.

>> No.13932467

For the pickup I just do a couple rights, I don't even have to leave the block, its an easy walk. To bring it back I just reverse it and do lefts. There's another place with the same name down in Florida, that's the first place that I had fried calamari, that's gosh darned good stuff.

frying shit is actually really easy my guy. i literally learned how to make fish and chips on a whim based on the stuff in my pantry and it took me fifteen minutes from deciding to make it to a completed dish. in that fifteen minutes i also learned to make tempura vegetables and onion rings.

Just never make the mistake that I made as a kid and fry food without a shirt on. That's a good way to catch a burn and learn a lesson.

I want Dominos contactless delivery to be the new norm. All pizza places should at least offer it as an option.

I've been making my own for over a year now.It tastes as good or better than take out/delivery and I really enjoy it. Making dough is really easy and the cheese and toppings just depend on how you want to do it.

>> No.13933540

Of course I do. Getting pizza in any other format than delivery is pretty fucking dumb unless you're on your way home from something else. It's like the only thing that delivers from every single joint.

>> No.13933577

>>13933551
Yeah I can see why. I made it by capturing the animation from the Domino's website when they used to have a "make your own pizza" contest going on. You would add your ingredients and the webpage would put together a little animation when you were done and you could name it and submit it. The capture was really high framerate, it's just the real animation on the Domino's website that was really that janky.

Yeah. I'm staying home and all that, but I'm in pretty good health, not a smoker, and just turned 31; even if I do get it, I'll probably be fine.

I'm not giving up pizza, curry, or gyros because the Wuhan flu is going around.

>> No.13934773

Not anymore.
I did the low carb thing for a while trying to lose weight and realized that Pizza, especially greasy takeout, is like a weight gain nuclear bomb.
You'd have to do Keto for like two weeks to undo the damage you sustain from a large pizza

Why do you Americans call everything that's not a chain but a normal business a "mom and pop"? It's like being a chain is the only normal thing, and you have to specify that something is not a chain.

Besides that, big props for ordering like that, I do it too.

Consider it a reflection on the capitalist corporate culture in America. franchise and chain restaurants are so abundant we have to specify if a restaurant is a one off, because likely whoever you're talking to has never heard of it. So we call it a mom and pop

There are restaurants that aren't considered chain or mom and pops though, restaurants that were mom and pops but were profitable enough to open a second or third location. they're technically just small chain restaurants but still not well known. we don't have a special term for these
