Coors banquet is okay, but it barely has any more flavor than Coors light. And Coors light has less flavor than Miller light. Since Miller light only has 3.2g of carbs, it is my go to. Natty daddy if it was a bad day at work, still light on the carbs. I drank IPAs in college but I got bored of them. Now they taste super syrupy to me, like a bitter hops syrup mixed with carbonated water.

I'm not huge on the CTZ hop flavour bombs. I've been beaten to death with that musty lemon-pine flavour, but there are some pretty decent IPAs, and some of the new school shit's pretty interesting.

On the other hand, if I'm warm thirsty, or even dehydrated, an ice cold Coors, Corona, Bud, or any other adjunct lager/pils is great. The slight bit of malty sweetness will quench my thirst in ways tapwater couldn't hope to... although I'll probably down a gallon or two of that over the course of the evening/weekend too.

Columbus/Tomahawk are definitely still in a lot of hoppy beers, and overdoing it with Cascade, Citra and Mosaic leads to a similar flavour (like throwing a dessicated lemon at a spruce tree). Galaxy and well-executed Mosaic and Opal IPAs and NEIPAs are a nice little break, but I think that whole thing's been beaten to death - just weaponized every which way with no attention to how the beer actually tastes. I'm glad a lot more breweries are having fun with their brews - crossbreeding ideas, and subbing in new techniques into old recipes, not just going for the most IBUs, or dry hopping, blending, or lactosing everything.
