Glorified vending machines which are restocked with fresh ingredients and cleaned a few times a day.

>> No.13855539

A literal hole in the wall. Similar to a bank ATM but for food. No more human interaction and you order your food with an app or display screen. A single employee will work unseen inside doing manual task that a robot can't accomplish. Several fast food restaurants will occupy one property to maximize it's space.

the tendencies of natural selection suggest that as fast-casual increasingly dominates the market, the successful fast food companies will be the ones that don't bother to compete in the same niche but instead specialize further toward minimizing cost.

Natural selection as an economical principle? No.

>"Specialize further toward minimizing cost"
This is so poorly phrased it almost means nothing.

Dominant force and niche are mutually exclusive.

This whole comment was a car crash

I made an overly-elaborate response image to this in the past, but I lost it
There's cool things going on with vending machines and hybrid buildings
For now, take a claw machine

Things that look "aesthetic" while also cutting costs. More blacks/whites/greys and minimalist designs. Anything that has a vague visual connection to a culture will be made sterile and non-offending.

I'm honestly fine with it but I can see why people hate the change, places are losing the last tiny bit of "soul" they have left, if they ever had any at all. If I EVER get fast food I'm in the drive-thru or in and out so fast I don't give a shit what it looks like. Macdonalds can set up a god damn food truck for all I care and I'll still probably get a cheap burger when I'm broke and hungry.
