This. It is before the 1980s sensibilities of aluminum=Alzheimers cause, so yea, it's old or from a third world. With the rounded bottom, there would be some reduction of a soup, but with the clamp on lid, some rice or pressure cooking to a small level of course, but think faster cooking braised meats getting tender or less moisture loss in steaming rice.
