for me it is still weak
but when i do steak it is seared in a pan. yours is from grill and without seeing the middle, i cant really comment
it just looks a little weak. but everyone is different. i like heavy char heavy crush. and for eating, it's medium. try for medium rare just adds risk to the steak
i would take that one for 30sec on a side in super oil very hot

Your problem is you are content with your low skill level. You experiment with shit that doesn’t belong together. Your meals look like shit yet you never try to improve, and that’s the problem. If you want to keep cooking at the same low skill level for the rest of your life, that’s your prerogative, but stop fucking posting it. We don’t care about what abomination you will make next.

I agree, I usually do rare or medium rare and then I take the steak right out from the refrigerator. Today I decided to do medium so I let the steak get to room temperature. That made it done before it got a real sear. Next time I do medium, I will take the steak right from refrigerator and let it grill longer, lowering the heat as it goes.

>>13766902
Not sure if you are confusing me with someone else. I try to improve all the time. What do you think doesn't go together here? It's all classic sides for steak. How could I make it not look like shit? Would you mind posting your dinner?

Yeah. It has parsley, salt, pepper and a little extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I add a little lemon juice, but not this time

Alright got a recipe for you to try: get like a pound of uncooked shrimp. Peel em, devein em, and boil the shells with mirepoix and whole garlic cloves for 20 minutes. Strain, add fresh mirepoix, cubed potatoes, and chopped pieces of shrimp in the resultant broth. Simmer for like 10 minutes then add a can of tomato paste. It's soooooo easy and super yummy!

Never heard of this dish, but did some quick google research. It reminds me of the sweidsh dish sjömansbiff (sailor steak) which is the same principle of taking non-premium beef, cutting thin and letting simmer in stock until tender. But it's simpler, onion and potatos are cooked with it. Pic related. Want to tell how you made yours?

>>13767525
Looks like it would taste nice but I lack info to properly judge. How did you make it? Do you serve with rice?

Start with sauteed chopped onions, add garlic, add diced tomatoes, simmer for 5-10 mins, add shrimp, feta, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper. Then bake for 12-15 mins. I add a little Tabasco and red pepper flakes for heat. And I forgot to get rice so I improvised and made soba noodles.

I actually cut up some bacon into lardons and rendered the fat out, and that's what I sautéed the mirepoix in before adding the shells. I pulled the lardons out and added them in right before the end. Get em nice and crispy :)

I also made omurice for my roommate! He normally doesn't eat a lot but he /destroyed/ this. I cooked some rice in soy, teriyaki, and chicken bullion on our hot griddle, then cooked up some bacon and leftover kielbasa, then the eggs in the resultant grease. Sauce was teriyaki added to some melted butter and sautéed until thick.

Followed by margaritas and kisses <3

that omelette is way overcooked. you need a lot of practice on the egg part. the fried rice looks pretty barren. you need more ingredients in that stir-fry. take a good hour or two to just watch omurice videos on YouTube and get a better idea of what fried rice recipes and omelette techniques you should follow.

4-8 Beef round steaks, pound to 1/4in thick. Concoct diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black pepper, salt, halved garlic cloves, 2 bayleafs, paprika, onion slices, diced dried onions in bowl. Go easy on the salt, taste the mix. When it's good, pour into oven bag with pounded steaks, slice a few slits on top the bag, bake 350F for 30 minutes then just test them until done. Best with mashed potatoes and a steamed veg
