I haven't drank in over four years. Probably about 6 years ago I stopped binge drinking and only would really tie one on at one of my friend's weddings or on my birthday etc. I'd go out and have some beers with people during the week usually and gradually decreased the amount I'd drink to the point where I wondered why I'm wasting money and consuming extra calories drinking 2-3 beers at the bar.
So as far as how to quit, if you want to quit entirely it depends on your situation. If you're a mess without booze, sweats, shakes etc, I don't think anyone can really help you but yourself. If you just drink more either by volume or frequenecy then you'd like you just need self-control or willpower to not do that anymore. In most cases it's just boredom driving you to drink, at least that is what it was in my situation. At the same time I just ended up smoking weed more frequently to compensate, but I've quit that too for the most part.

I've never seen that before but lemme make it more interesting for you:

Oblomov is a renowned character in russian literature. He is a wealthy young man who is the sole descendant of a large wealthy estate. He was spoiled through childhood by all the peasants and his family, and so in adulthood he's extremely lazy and can't drive himself to accomplish anything.

Eventually, his best friend Stolz introduces him to a beautiful woman. Stolz is a man of the world who has been successful in business and the military, a typical foil for Oblomov's weak character. His idea is that the beautiful woman will inspire Oblomov to outgrow himself and become a happy participant in the world.

I won't ruin the ending, but it is very russian. Neither happy nor sad.

for me, it's springbank. Not middle-shelf but I rarely drink, so it fits a middle-shelf budget.

Wasn't too bad when I lived in PA, although just finding the stores was the hard part since you had to be considered either a liquor store or a restaurant to sell alcohol and to be considered a restaurant you had to have a certain number of tables and seating. I've heard it's changed somewhat since I lived there but when I did you couldn't just go to a store and buy beer after work; you had to find a designated store for it.
