Whilst I believe that the recent 4Chan/4Channel spilt was a smart move by Hiro I believe that /ck/should do the same and become separate food and cooking boards. /ck/ for cooking and people who genuinely enjoy the culinary arts and /fo/ as a containment board for the McDonald’s junk food type discussion and the YouTube/Eceleb kiddies(face it, even the sh*thole that is /tv/ doesn’t want them).
My suggestion has been generally well received amongst the 4Channel IRC community and I emailed the site owner/admins for their feedback too.
What do you think /ck/? The sticky might actually get published as well!
>pic related: what the average /fo/ poster would look like :D

Probably not, alas.
This board will never be improved.

No. /ck/ is already a slow board. Splitting it further would kill it.

I like the idea, while I would love just a pure culinary board, It's already pretty easy to scroll past shit you don't want to talk about.

Shit like fast food arguments or whatever the fuck seem so rare now anyway you can just skip them.

YouTube and tv cooking is how a lot of people learn, having a place to peer review recipes and ask opinions is part of cooking and learning.

Really you'd be better just asking for junk food discussion and discussion about personalities to be disallowed and removable

I think it would work, especially actual cooking.
There’s a cigarette thread on here at the moment ffs.
