What's the cheapest alcohol you stomached for a period of time when you were poor or frugal?

For me, it was steel reserve. Whatchu know about that? Cashier eventually began to become visibly pissed when I'd be counting up my quarters and pennies from my pocket after drinking that shit daily a few months straight. Kinda miss it tho.

It's ethanol, same alcohol that you drink. Usually 60ish% alcohol. Tastes like vodka and soap. There's a prison-tier trick where you shake it with a pinch of salt and separate the gel from the liquid but I didn't bother with that half the time.

Someone here recommended Hurricane over Steel Reserve and they were totally right and based. It has a much lighter flavor and it's $2 for 2 24 oz. cans at some places. I've also compared it to Natty Daddy and it's better than that, too.

Here they had those bigger wall dispenser type hand sanitizers in the bathrooms at hospitals. They eventually had to move them to areas were the staff can watch them because drunks would go to the bathrooms, smash them and steal the bag inside.
