How do I make these shits palatable? I thought about making a peanut/cashew sauce but I've never done that before, any tips? Do I just use actual peanut butter as a base?

Deep fry them in lard, and serve with different types of sweet sauces.

try recipe number 8. you won't find kencur anywhere, replace with galangal or skip it. the sauce tastes great either way

nah you won't find it anywhere outside asia unless you grow it yourself. the pickled veg, sambal and dressing recipes are very good also.

when I make the peanut sauce it's usually to accompany sate. the sauce tastes fantastic when combined with cucumber noodles and grilled meat

dan dan is easy and cheap and really good for shitty noodles
I went to this absolute dump of a dumpling restaurant on the outside of Chinatown not too long ago for reasons, and even though the udon (why) was soggy like worm and the egg was almost burnt and the bok choy was just like boiled bok choy, it all kinda came together with the low tier dollop of dan dan they splashed on top.
Good dan dan is pretty great too try it

yep, this rubbery shit hardly cuts it, zucchini is much better low cal alternative and waaaay cheaper too

Those are laxatives shaped as noodles ...

>> No.13545474

I used to put them in a pyrex glass, add hot water out of kettle and some soy sauce + artificial sweetener (and whatever other spices you want to add)

the artificial sweetener really seemed to make them softer and more noodle like

I usually go through phases with these things, get them for a week then grow tired of them get them again and so on

long story short, they're not very good regardless of how you prep them

>> No.13545506

I just eat them with a can of tuna and some parmesan.
They're fucking gross no matter what so don't expect miracles.

lolwhat, SUCKchini are a) not cheaper if you make the noodles yourself and b) do not even come close to the satiety shirataki noodles provide. You can literally eat a bowl of them in the morning and be full all day long. Meanwhile zucchini are basically digested before they even get to the bottom of the stomach.

How are zucchinis not cheaper?

You get an 8 oz of shirataki noodles for, what... $2-3 depending on where you shop. Zucchinis are 75 cents to a dollar each and 1 medium size zucchini will make about 16 oz of noodles.

Granted, I prefer carrot and sweet potato noodles if I'm going to make vegetable noodles since zucchini gets too watery, but zucchini noodles are cheaper.

>quotes IF YOU MAKE THE NOODLES YOURSELF and then proceeds talking about buying them

For around 45 bux you can make over 130 lbs shirataki noodles. Buy a bigger bag of konjak powder and that cost plummets further. A pinch of calcium hydroxide is the only other ingredient you need to buy, the rest is water.

Goodness, calm down. I didn't know you could make shirataki noodles and I thought you were talking about making zucchini noodles.

>paying 70 cents per pound to eat something that you admit tastes like shit
or
>paying $1.40 per pound to eat something that tastes like food
and it's impossible to say that zucchini is digested "almost immediately" since it has the same macronutrients as bulimia noodles
