Went through my dad’s stuff from Afghanistan and Iraq and found this. It’s at least 15 years old, probably closer to 20. Are any of the items likely to still be edible? I’ve heard some of the cookies and the like last practically for forever

Probably still edible, but I'd advise eating a bunch of plums with it, or keeping a laxative on hand because those things can give you the constipation of a lifetime.

The cheese spread smelled horrible
I doubt the meat entree or apples would have survived if the cheese hasn’t

Nah man being a teen at the turn of the millenium was perfect timing. We were right in that perfect time of having internet and being able to chat up girls on MSN messenger but without it being filled with normies and also back then cell phones were very much still just phones they weren't constant surveillance and dopamine addiction machines. Back then you had all sorts of alternative factions like punks and emo and later scene kids, mallgoths, punk and metal was still mainstream, etc.

I'd hate being a teenager now, shit sucks it seems like, either you're some raging incel on 4chan or you're a turbonormie on instagram and tiktok, or maybe a cringe furry redditor.
