Crying in the bathroom right now because I'm so incompetent I can't make sugar cookies with store bought dough and I told my grandma I'd bring them to Christmas tomorrow

It's not, I'm a jobless failure turning to an edgy imageboard for weebs after I screwed up a task millions of children get right on their first try every year because I don't have any friends

Look up an internet recipe, Follow it. Gather the ingredients and then do it again.

If you fail, Then repeat. You have a full 24 hours to do it again, Keep trying until you get those cookies right. Complaining on /ck/ isn't going to get you cookies, Only you can get cookies.

You can do it, OP, we believe in you.

Just keep at it, eventually you'll get it right. That's the only thing you can do, try again.

My mom never learned how to cook anything and would just buy store cookies and remove the wrappers in a situation like this. So do that. You don't even need to hide it in this case really. Just say it didn't turn out well so you bought some from the store. Not sure what the big deal is.

Like, then, try it again.
You probably learned what you did wrong yeah.

Did you use boxed dough or tube dough?
Boxed dough is pre-proportioned, so all the cookies are guaranteed to cook evenly.

When I was a teenager, premade sugar cookie dough was a pretty new product. I decided to bring some of these sugar cookies to a party one of my classes was having. A really hot chick came up to me and told me how impressed she was about how uniform and round my cookies were. She asked me how I got so good at baking. I owned it and told her it was just skill. Two pitfalls with cookies are that they look like they need to cook longer than they actually do, and they need to cool longer than it seems.

Use the time on the package, and if the dough looks undercooked when time is up, take them out anyway.

>millions of children get right on their first try every year
that way of thinking will get you more stuff wrong and keep you stuck where you are. Mistakes are ok, regardless of what your parents told or implied to you. The faster you make them and learn from them, the faster you git gud. Yes some people get it right the first time. oh well, that's naught to do with you
