Like I said, I was content with the school lunch tier meals, I'll take some pre made frozen spaghetti and meatballs or a bologna sandwich over some ramen noodle cooked in shower water slop. The jail also only stocked shrimp flavor noodles, gross.

Totally depends on the jail. In Texas, the sheriff runs the jail. He gets an annual budget to run his entire department which includes feeding prisoners. We got tiny amounts of the cheapest food you could find. I lost 10 pounds in 9 days. And that was including food from the rip off store. A pack of ramen or "soups" cost $3.
