What type of cutting board is best? Dont want plastic because they end up stinking after a while and Im not a fan of plastics at any rate. If wood, what sort? Also, do you then wash it normally with detergent or just scrub it off? Salt slabs?

Wood, make sure it's food safe and not varnished with anything. Just oiled. A few times a year use mineral oil to replenish the finish. Scrub as much as you like.

The outside world is full of bacteria that is bombarded with suns UV light all day long and yet is alive.
An UV light lamp is nothing like the sun. Seek psychiatric help you mom science brain rotten retard..

>To kill germs, a very specific wavelength of ultraviolet light — 254 nanometers — is necessary. This particular type of ultraviolet light is produced by the Sun, but most of it is absorbed by the Earth's atmosphere.

Hard rubber is the best option. Sani-tuff or hi-soft.
Wood would be ok but it's hard to get a good end grain board that you can be sure about. Very common to see USA USA boards made by religious maniac MAGA types. Hard pass

Hah. Hardly. This wooden blade has been folded millions of times by Japanese masters of the ancient art of kara-oke. It was forged in the eternal fires around Fukushima, and quenched in the raging waters of Tohoku.

What type of mineral oil? I doubt a strong smelling Ballistol would be optimal. Ive read linseed oil is all-around great for wood, and it is edible, anyway?

>> No.13395757

their site says it's food safe, though they have a bunch of different combination sprays so take that with a grain of salt https://www.ballistol-shop.de/Ballistol-Oil-and-Spray_B_S_252.html

but honestly mineral oil is cheap as hell just buy one you're sure works, anything that is just pure mineral oil
