Serious question, why do people use those canned spray oil? The proper way to use them is to spray from a feet a way to get good spread coverage and avoid a puddle of oil. But in doing so you also spray oil over your floor/counter/stove.

aim at the center of the pan, theoretically
doesn't matter that a tablespoon of oil and a paper towel does the job better

false. i live in michigan and keep my house at 62 in the spring/fall/winter. butter is hard still at that temperature even if its in a butter dish on the counter. It's barely spreadable by about 68-70 degrees

>> No.13392376

>>13392368
holy shit ur based i live in wash dc and i keep my apt at 61-64 usually in the winter, depending on whether im sleeping and how cold it is outside

its so rare to meet people who really enjoy the colder environment

in summer my ac sucks and dc is hot so it gets up to like 71-73 even which is miserable for sleeping but I make do with a fan.

>> No.13392384

>>13392363
no need for the paper towel even, turn the heat on so its a little more viscous and then let it slide around in the pan, could cut down how much oil you're using in half by not tossing away a paper towel soaked in oil

Even aiming at the center will cause aerosolized particles to bounce and cover whatever is in front of you.

So it just automatically starts spraying when you pick it up? I can relate but I don't think that's a very helpful feature for a butter dispenser.

>> No.13393063

>>13392805
theres a touch censor on it instead of a button, i'd prefer a button on the side or something but this is likely easier to wash because butter wouldnt get inside when it leaks all over itself

How long can you keep butter on the counter? Grew up with butter dishes when I was kid, but my gf (no she's my wife, my gf used to suck my dick) bought a butter bell, got me too (a wat?!?!), and when I have used the butter, I think it tastes funky. Didn't die, but will I die?

Asking for a friend.

butter can last a damn long time at room temperature, it's usually the contaminants people get into the butter than make it go bad, like if someones making kraft dinner they'll stir the cheese and milk into the pot then use the same spoon to scoop butter into the pot and the residual milk will spoil and it'll all smell like cheap KD cheese gone rancid
