Which other topping can be put on a pizza to offset the saltiness of anchovies?

The fucking cheese

you would need a potassium source... potatoes or bananas. Maybe replace the sauce with mashed potatoes

Salt ionizes; them extra electrons gotta go somewhere. Add an acid. Pickled Jalapenos and cream cheese.

Butter.
It's actually a classic Italian recipe

Black olives are more sweet than salty. With the fresh tomato you could actually throw on some capers without the salt being overpowering.

Anchovies need no intervention they're delicious on their own. The strong salty fishy flavor is the whole point of eating them that being said, if you REALLY wanna tone it down this is what I would do.

>Alfredo sauce
>Olive oil
>Mozz
>Feta
>sliced roasted potatoes or gnocchi
>Cracked pepper

Or
Just add em to a regular margherita pizza but toss them around in the tomato sauce over a medium heat for a minute or so with just a tiny splash of fish oil before putting it all together

get salted anchovies rather than ones preserved in oil or brine. once you rinse them off they are much milder than the tinned ones most people use. Then you dont need to balance them out.

A potato flour admixture would be more appealing. Or perhaps diced avocado? A julienne of avocado placed at the ends of the fish would be nice. Or replacing fresh basil with fresh spinach and just adding the basil on early and in the oven like the Italians do.
