Meat requires more farmland than vegetation, retard. Animals are fed crops which are farmed. Overall land use would go down if people stopped eating meat. It's the standard energy cycle you learned in grade school. Energy comes from sun. Plants absorb it, use it to grow, burn off most of it as heat energy. Animals eat the plants, burn off most of it as heat energy again. You're wasting most of the energy that was in those plants that the animals eat, as it's burned off to keep the things alive.

the amount of plant-based food you need to produce enough meat to feed a human is larger than the amount of plant-based food that human would require on a vegan or at least low meat and animal product diet.
it's not worth giving up meat over global warming in my opinion, because third worlders will just reproduce exponentially until we stop feeding them for free, but the argument that vegetables need more farmland is silly because it just doesn't take into account that animals need to eat to turn into meat.
