Show my corpse some respect and eat ALL of the meat.
>but your breast meat is so dry it even dehydrates my poo

I think most of the issue with that is it's even leaner than chicken breast. Even when cooked perfectly it needs a lot of gravy or something else with fat on it.

That's why I suggested breast down. When ever my family does thanksgiving the turkey is always in a bag and breast is always down. Literally cook the breasts in it's own juices is enough to make it juicy.

Make it breast down not in a plastic bag FFS you xenoestrogen-lovers. Take the drippings and use them to make Turkey Gravy, then berate your family while drunk.

Why? It pretty much does the same thing except faster.

Try brining your bird. I've never had an issue with dry turkey after I started brining.

Good eats just put out a new episode using a Turkey for other recipies besides roasting. Youre alright by me Mr. Tom

>> No.13250420

I might catch shit for this, but I've only roasted a whole turkey once. It was fine.
Each time after, however, I broke it down into two thighs, two drums, two wings and one whole breast piece (also removed the neck, back and wing tips for stock for gravy). I roast the dark meat separately from the white (it's good having two ovens). This helps ensures everything is cook perfectly.
One year, I didn't even bother roasting the wings and drums. I smoked the wings over chipped hickory which I soaked in apple cider and used them in my collards while I saved the drums in the freezer, using them some months later in spinach-based curry.

>> No.13250472

just break it down or buy it piecemeal and only cook and eat the good parts (dark meat)
>b-but my lardass family needs eleven pounds of protein!

Nani the fuck is this? I've never seen or heard of this before, this sounds bizzard. You can't possibly get crispy skin and how the fuck do you keep the bag from melting

The bags you use are specifically designed for ovens.
