you ever think that if people respected them more for working and earning a wage, that the quality of work might improve, and less people would try to escape min wage to more actively ride welfare? This I have thought about recently, the new york city sanitation department literally deals with all of the shit in a huge dirty city, but has high rates of retention and job satisfaction, because their work culture is one of fraternity and they respect the fact that they make life livable for millions of people every day. I wonder why we can't see that in more jobs. I mean, if literal shit cleaners can do it, surely burger flipper culture could evolve to become a more prideful job position.
