None of that shit is cheap, except for rice , pasta and eggs.

Peeled and sliced yams, crockpot over night with a sprinkle of cinnamon and just a pinch of clove power and a pinch of salt.

In the morning, add about a quarter cup of cane sugar, them mash it up as best you can and let it cool. Once it's cooled, put in in a bowl, add some heavy whipping cream, maybe half a cup or so. Then blend it evenly and until it gets a texture that you like.

Sit it in the fridge, then get a pie crust and bake it in the oven on a low enough temp that it won't burn, but you want it to be golden brown and crispy. Once it's done, add your pie filling and enjoy.

Note- I've only done this once, and it was years ago, otherwise I would give you better instructions and measurements.

earlier this year I came up with prety good saffron milkcap pizza, I wont be giving exact proportions because I never use them when coocking, just use common sense
-standard pizza dough
-quality olive oil
-salt, black peper, basil, other spices of choice
-onions (sliced)
-saffron milkcaps (sliced)
-brie type cheese
>first put sliced milkcaps on a low heat pan with a little pit of olive oil, fry until liquid milkcaps give off dissapears, add little bit of salt and pepper then set aside
>do same thing with sliced onions until soft and glossy
>instead of tomato sauce I just used olive oil with spices pour some (maybe half a cup, depends on size of pizza you're making) into a bowl and add basil crushed/ground black pepper and other spices of choice (you might briefly bloom the mix in the pan, I didnt and it was still delicious)
>now spread dough on an oven pan, poke around with a fork to release possible air bubbles, spread spicy oil-sauce, put on milkcaps, onions and top with slices ofbrie type cheese, drizzle some oil on the edge of a dough to make it nice and crispy when it's done
>bake between 150-200C (~302-392F) until it starts to lightly brown around the edges
you're done
you made delicious saffron milkcap pizza

We stuck all the infographs into a booru because infograph dump threads suck:

Then again this was back before fast food advertising spam was a thing.
