Are they really that bad/bland? What about the rest of the range?

To be fair, America is over saturated with amazing beer at this point, and while Leffe blonde is fine, anyone over 30 has been drinking it their entire life and it's really become outdated and far surpassed by American beer. I'm not saying Leffe is bad/bland at all; there's just so much better stuff in practically every corner of the US that you start to become desensitized to middle of the road "it's just okay" beer.

I really like it.
Tastes similar to banoffee things to me.
Or it might be the "brun" version.

It's far from the best but it's still bretty good. Still one of the best supermarket beers imo

I bought tickets for a Budweiser factory tour for my dad for his birthday one year. At the end of the tour, they take you to the tasting room and give you a free beer flight of anything brewed by them.
I tried the Leffe and it was... okay. There was nothing particularly noteworthy or even memorable about it.

as far as belgian beers go, not my favorite, but it's still okay

Gotta agree with this Anon, it's ok but nothing really special. The best Belgian beer I've had was Chimay Bleu.

I've tried both blonde and brune, was underwhelmed

in serbia where I live one of the more popular local breweries brew a better nicer blonde ale and I find other belgian beers to be more interesting

>> No.13214144

It's a good example of the style, but it's not going to blow your mind. I mean, it's a Belgian blonde. It's never going to measure up to the really big, bold American styles in terms of pure flavour intensity. It's not supposed to. It's fine for beer to have delicate flavours, too.
