biscuits and gravy are awesome, essentially the gravy is just blonde bechemel where the milk is reduced until the becomes thicker and sauce, and maybe add some chunks of sausage(no casing), we make regular sausage here similar to black pudding you have with breakfast, we just cook it and cut it into chunks and add it to the gravy, salt and pepper

proper biscuits on the other hand are more in depth than i have time to tell however, but most recipes on youtube suck ass and are akin to most people putting creme in carbonara

typically if the recipe mentions cold butter then they are somewhere in the right place

I think it's an American thing that never made it back.
The closest thing I know in the British Isles to an American biscuit is an Irish Farl.
The only difference between the two is that a Farl has no butter in its dough and it's usually baked under direct heat in a skillet rather than an oven.

Not a troll, and yet it has many bites.

Serious question - american culture is undeniably the dominant global culture right now. That applies to food as well. Muh burgers etc. Have you ever paused to consider why biscuits and cornbread have very little popularity outside of america (the same applies to cajun food)?

Simple - they're not actually very tasty. As for the rest of it, they are literally highly similar to savoury scones - thats what they'd be considered as

As for blood pudding (called black pudding here, differentiated from white pudding by the presence of blood. the european version is called blood sausage, I think you're mixing up the two), commercially prepared black pudding is almost universally shit. i love black pudding and I don't even bother to have it here most of the time unless I'm cooking it myself. Buy a sausage of it yourself, slice it to ~1/3rd inch thick slices, and cook for a brief period of time in a very hot skillet till the sides are crispy. Even shitty basic store versions are fine, its just it isn't well suited to large scale commercial production.

As for your non-native, non native area point, yes that is conceivably possible, but there's also a general aspect of popular appeal - I wouldn't expect black pudding to not be widely popular, nor am I surprised that it's not. It's not nice enough to overcome the downsides, such as tasting bad unless prepared properly, unlike, say, burgers and pizzas, which taste pretty good even when they're shit.
