What's the best sandwich at Subway? I just by default get the spicy Italian, never tried anything else, but it mostly just tastes salty

Steak and cheese, on herbs and cheese. Have them add onions, green pepper, and banana pepper before toasting it. Add parmesan and chipotle sauce.

Herb and cheese is a meme bread, honey and oat is actually a different flavor from just their white bread with dried herbs and sprinkle of cheese thrown ontop.

I worked there for awhile. I went through phases loving a few different subs. Some customers know how to mix it up, the the guy above who said to toast the veggies. Only a handful of people do that, but here are three of my favs:
1.) double steak on white (triple cheese on both sides of the bread before the meat w/ green peppers, onions, and a little oil and black pepper. Toasted extra long (if you get double steak it needs more time to defrost). Add 2 lines of mayo, shitload of lettuce, salt pepper and oregano, then two more lines of mayo.

BMT, on white, meat on both sides, onions & green peppers, toasted, then add provolone cheese, olives, more onion, black pepper, oregano, tomatoes, salt, mayo (4 lines) and “as much lettuce as you can fit in there”

Chicken bacon ranch, extra bacon, green peppers, toasted, add provolone, cucumber, tomato, salt, black pepper, oregano, lettuce, 2-3 lines of ranch, 1-2 lines southwest sauce.

I always buy cookies for the staff if they make my sandwich well.

i get a club, but i put extra vegetables on it because they're free. extra lettuce tomato onion banana peppers and cucumber. then i scrape half of it off and eat it for a 2nd meal as a salad

About the only time I stop at Subway is if a relative is in the hospital and I go to visit and it's between 9 and 10 pm and I haven't eaten yet. In the local town, there isn't much available after about 8 pm.

So in about the last five years, I've eaten at Subway twice. The first time, it was really pathetic and I doubted that I would ever go back again.

However, a couple of years later I took someone to the emergency room and went over to Subway's while waiting. That time, it was surprisingly good.
