I have nearly 30 Carolina Reapers and need things to do with them. The problem is that they're unbearably spicy in everything except high volume food where the low concentration of the pepper makes it less spicy.

What should I do with these?

Pickle them and use them sparingly. Once they start to rot, discard them.

>> No.13082342

Make hot pickles by putting a reaper in each lil jar among your dill and pickling spice. This December, give away a bunch of your homemade hot pickles as gifts. Also, make a big batch of hot marinade for beef shoulder or whatever and freeze in cubes.

Make hot sauce with salt, apple cider vinegar, garlic & some kind of fruit like mango.

Smoke and dry them, that way you can grind them later and use a pinch in a dish to bring some heat

>> No.13082553

Chop them and age them in vinegar and salt for a few weeks/months. Whizz up in the blender. Strain out solids. Bottle liquid in tiny novelty bottles with custom print labels (skull and fire emojis may be used ironically) and give out to all your friends.

You think CRs are too spicy? I've been eating those for a while now. Pleasant little snack. I'll eat 7 or 8 while watching tv.

Put them in a bottle of vodka, let it sit for as long as you like then take a shot.
Remmember to have fun when you are lying on the floor.

Tried making some tomatillo salsa with them but the salsa ends up orange/brown and is really watery. Willl not grow them next year.

Give them away if you have friends, moron. You wasted your time growing so many, you will be lucky to use just one. Why didn't you grow a pepper that is actually edible instead?
Lesson learned for next year. You just wanted to tell all your friends you grew the high and mighty, CAROLINA REAPER!
Cringe. You don't even like it.

Pepper plants require basically zero maintenance and produce like 30 peppers/plant. It's probably harder to grow less than 30 peppers than to grow 30.
