Question for Detroit Anons. Which is the superior coney dog eatery? I'm used to my local National Coney Island and other random local ones, but I will be going to the city and plan to have a meal from one of these

Lafayette probably a little better but people like it more because it's dirty as fuck and has hairy middle eastern men screaming across the restaurant. American is still decent they have a bigger menu and actually serve beer. Both are really cheap you could easily try both. Lafayette is cash only fyi.

i went to american because there were way less people there and the hoodlum kid on probation serving us said american was better because lafayette had fancy mustard and onions and american has regular mustard and onions
so basically lafayette sounds better

but go eat in mexican town for the real detroit culinary experience
