American living in Germany here. The hotsauces here are really terrible. I have had a lot of luck going to TK Maxx and going to the kitchen section with all of the spices and oils, I have bought 10+ bottles of good American hot sauces there. If you have 2 TK Maxx's nearby you will never run out. It works.

They're all salty outside of Tabasco

I think that's why Tabasco is one of the only big brands I like. Well that and the fermenting. I mostly make my own now though because of that too.

take some fresh red peppers - fresno, serrano, cayenne - then boil them in vinegar with salt and garlic, until the peppers have turned soft and mushy, then blend it up.

OP here.
All hot sauces in Europe are quite thick.
I saw this sauce in a recipe and found it to have the consistency of a passata.
Of course I can order it online for 5 EUR, but perhaps it's easily replaceble

Anyone know why fermentation isn't as good with the frozen ones? Less air in the mix due to reduced cell structure, or what? >>13022452
clickbait always sucks. It degrades good content videos. Maybe it's a necessary evil, but it still sucks, and chances are none of the people using such strategies will abandon them after developing a following.
