Every time you make a cuppa?
Every day?
Every week?
Once in a while?
Never?

Our office varies. Some people have some nasty ass mugs.

very rarely
it makes the tea taste better

people even intentionally use expensive unglazed clay teapots and only ever drink 1 type of tea in that teapot to get that coating/patina

After every single use
>letting germs have a fiesta in your cup
Do you also not wash your forks or knives?

>> No.13003891

i just use my thumbpad to get rid of the stains. no soap. gotta keep that patina on there.

HUH, never knew this was a thing.
One time I washed my aunt's mug, (she was staying with us) and I noticed her mug was left unwashed for weeks.
I washed it and she got angry with me but couldn't justify why.

for coffee every day usually, cream or creamer causes a bit of an issue, grandfather drank black with some sugar and just kept refilling the same mug for what must have been years before he dropped it, shattered it, and it held together.
for my water/iced tea I might give it a quick rinse and shake if its sticky or seems gross but i'm pretty lax

>>13003887
is that a primarily asian thing? seems neat to read about but I'm skeptical
have you used them yourself?

Quick rinse daily, proper washing once a week.
Black coffee only. I'd never be this lax with it if I used milk or sugar.

I rinse after each use, wash with soap when I'm done for the day , and scrub with baking soda when it gets brown enough.

Really though, you benefit from being exposed to more germs. Not every microorganism is the ebolavirus or h.simplex.

rinse out once a week, wash once a month to get rid of any excess germs

The faggots in the Navy never wash their mugs. Do you really want to be a faggot? If not, wash your damn mugs.

yes..well its a gongfu (chinese) brewing thing
they use special clay thats very fine and porous

i dont intentionally do it myself, I just use a cheap $5 gaiwan..and thats glazed porcelain, but there are many hardcore tea fanatics that swear by it

Oh yeah, it's a thing. My cottage has an old ass coffee pot, probably 20 years old. Only ever had one kind of coffee in it, tastes 10x better than in my new home machine.

I rinse my cup twice a day. wash it with soap every 2nd day or so. Its a thermos. So I keep ice it in for water untill late day. then its tea or coffee. Water taste bad with coffee residue.

>How often do you wash your coffee/tea mug

About once or twice a week. I use the same mug for coffee, milk, tea and water and give it a quick rinse after drinking whatever and put it upside down in the dish rack until I need it again and as I’m the only who uses it, it’s not a problem.
