How would you do ground beef tacos?
My family always just fries some hamburger meat and puts a bunch of probably expired taco seasoning on it

Since when does seasoning expire?
Just fucking throw cumin on it and there ya go, it's taco seasoning

Garlic powder is just dehydrated minced garlic, so yes if you finely mince it you will be okay. Really the goal is to not munch on chunks of cellulose while you’re trying to eat your taco.

Don't use nasty ass taco shells. Follow one of the 1billion+ recipes for taco seasoning.
Cook beef right on the edge of raw.
"wet" tortillas in hot canola oil for a couple seconds on each side.
Add beef into wet tortillas, fold in half, secure with toothpick.
Let dry in fridge overnight.
Heat up cast iron and canola oil to ~400 degrees, pretty much just make sure it won't start smoking
>Shallow fry taco on both sides, until nice and golden brown
>wait for taco to cool down a bit and remove toothpick, carefully split apart and fill with desired seasoning
Source: worked in extremely popular mexican restaurant for a couple years.

You could use better spices, and better toppings.
Otherwise, its a delicious and legit method for simple food.
DO NOT try to be "authentic", honestly Mexicans are a disgusting, filthy, uneducated, corrupt, ugly, and poverty ridden people with zero self respect and value.
Think about this: do you REALLY want to emulate that? Ask yourself.
Keep it American, my White friend.

I agree, but then you went off on an insanity rant w/o giving the spices that could be used because an orange cheetoh told you to hate mexicans and taco bell is all you know. Learn to cook, waste of space.
>brown 80/20 ground beef
>remove from pan and saute onion and hot pepper of choice. Add cumin, garlic, mex oregano, bay leaf, chipotle and ancho pepper powder for 1 minute
>add pureed tomato and beef stock
>add back beef and salt to taste. Simmer @ 1 hour

I’m a food elitist like everyone else here but if you’re on a budget the best recipe is:

>brown a pound of 70/30 ground beef
>don’t drain
>add a cup of cold water
>add $0.50 seasoning packet
>cook till thick
>large tortilla
>spread refried beans in middle
>place down tostada
>add meat, cheese (nacho cheese is good too), toppings
>fold in star formation and place fold side down on hot nonstick pan
>flip after a minute

And that’s how me and my boys do crunchwrap supremes for taco tuesday

How exactly do you cook 70% meat 30% fat until it’s thick?
