I made chili for the 1st time I think it turned out well, thoughts?

Recipe (at current size feeds damb near 12 maybe more scale to needs)
1) prepare base
>2 bottles v8 vegetable juice on a simmer
>mix in chili seasoning
>mix in 1 diced onion
>mix in 2 jalapenos cut in large peices (seeds optional)
>2 cans chili beans (or can of kidney beans and can of red beans)
>1-2 cans black beans to taste
>let simmer while preparing other ingredients stir occasionally
2) prepare meat
>brown about 2 lbs ground beef (about size of a full modest pan)
>mix meat into base
>stir occasionally
3) noodles, 2 boxes
>under large elbow noodles by a minute-ish
>rinse under cold water mix into base
> stir occasionally
> let sit 15 minutes minimum, noodles soak up base
> let sit until ideal temp

miss typed under noodles should say
>under cook large elobow noodles

Okay, I made chili a couple hours ago but I had the decency to flush it.

Kill yourself dude
That's some Kay's cooking tier shit. Only you and maybe a select few hand picked certified retards would even consider calling that chili.
Die. Just curl up in a ball and die

Spot on. You did perfect. Maybe use less jalapeño next time though. Also you forgot tomato paste. You need mostly that to get a good chili flavor.

forgot a step:
4) kys
>place barrel of 20g Mossburg shotgun into cook’s mouth; recite chili mantra: “true chili contains no beans; only poorfag coasties use filler”
pull trigger, while family collects insurance payout so you’re not a total waste of protoplasm

Ignoring your obvious bait and pretending this is serious, here are my thoughts:

>too thin, needs to be reduced more
>exchange v8 for vegetable or chicken stock. Put in a pot
>add beans to pot, simmer
>sear mince in a seperate pan first to caramalize and form fond
>add onions, peppers, and your seasonings. Liquid from vegetables will deglaze pan, beef fat will help cook and wake up spices
>test doneness of beans, should be tender and smashable on side of pot but not soft
>add pan contents to pot
>combine, simmer a few minutes to allow mixing. Taste for salt and pepper, add as needed
>if you want to do noodles, fine, but halve the amount to one box and do not rinse as it washes off starch
>alternatively you could serve over rice, or mashed potatoes, or thick toast - anything really

You made a low tier chili mac. I suggest trying this recipe it's pretty good and cheap.

it's a fucking stew, if there's excess grease you can skim it off the top while it simmers.

Personally I wouldn't want my pasta sitting in a sauce for that long, but could just be chalked down to personal preference.

In terms of appearance, the sauce looks too thin. Again, arguably personal preference. Lastly, beans in chili is not something I enjoy, buy this is not only highly controversial, it's also yet another personal preference.

So basically, you do you, if it tastes good.

>>12983196

It's not a stew though... You can leave the excess fat in it's all just personal preference I've done it by accident with no bad repercussions.
