Do Italians really do this?

>> No.12960519

>>12960485
Yes and? They're from my garden, in fact everything on that pizza was grown or raised in my county. Do something different for a change don't get bogged down in the monotony of complacency. Cook with what's fresh, ripe, in season, and local and make it work and make it delicious.
>>12960509
I'm not Italian. I just ape.

fresh raw tomatoes have way too much water in them. The crust is not gonna cook properly.

And yet it did. It would appear you are wrong and retarded because you don't even know that margerheita is made with raw tomato.

show me a cross section of a cut slice.

Because I can see water pooling on the crust even in the picture.

>> No.12960549

>>12960535
I ate it anon. There was no pools of water lmao that's just coloring from the olive oil drizzle.

>> No.12960592

From what i can see tho maybe im wrong idk if it was delicious but
*you shouldnt have put the herbs along with the other ingredients to cook. They came out dry :( maybe if u want that basil goodness chop the leaves and mix em with the cheese so they are semiprotected and infuse the cheese. Or add em at the end
*the veggetables dont look particularily cooked. Maybe sautee em previously so they release some water and have a more concentrated flavor, then add em as toppings and dont look dehydrated instead of cooked.
*i want a pizza oven :(

>> No.12960603

>>12960436
Basil should go on after the pizza comes out of the oven. Anyone that isn't cooking retarded knows this.

>> No.12960607

>>12960592
I rather liked the doneness of the vegetables which ended admittedly on the al dente side, however, they were super ripe and fresh and came out delicious. I've had sauteed veggies on pizza it's just not what I wanted tonight. I wanted a bright flavor profile with a balanced acidity and sweetness tempered by the saltiness of my home cured pancetta.

>> No.12961062

>>12960603
I honestly can't even tell if that's basil at this point.

not shaped like garfield/10 would not eat. god its like you dont even want to entergage anyone

>> No.12961106

>>12960421
I would've given it a broil or pre-blistered some of those ingredients like the cherry tomatos, onions, and whatever that shredded stuff is unless it's basil. Reason being those ingredients have quite a bit of mosture and probably waterlogged the pie a bit and getting a proper blister under the broiler would torch the rest of the pie

>*i want a pizza oven :(
just get a decent range, get an unglazed terrystone from a hardware store, use it as a stone. Crank that bitch to 500 degrees and let it pre-heat that stone for like 30-45 minutes (make sure that shit is bone dry first), then pop that motherfucking pizza in there directly on the stone with a peel or flat lipped pan

looks a bit too moist probably from the tomato and the olive but i'd still eat it, the olives and the anchovies probably make it nice and salty and tangy

Looks pretty good. I can agree that the toppings are a bit undercooked, but conversely that the basil (if that is what it is) has been overcooked.

Having said that it looks like it would be good and refreshing by pizza standards, good for a hot summer day maybe? I would certainly eat it.

I made it from a pig I raised. I put it in an ice chest full of salt for 3 days then hung it in a mini fridge on the warmest setting and that's where it stays till I wanna slice some off and use it. It's been 3 months now.
