Here’s a really nasty savory “cake” from Mexico. It’s called a sandwichon and features a bunch of mayo/cream based salads (ham, egg etc.) between layers of soft white bread and “frosted” with more cream. Really nasty stuff. Similar I imagine to some of those weird 50s American dishes.
