All the variations on Mexican food are superior to the original. Sad but true.

Perfect taco sure as fuck doesn't have wood cellulose cheese, or any cheese for that matter - avacado goop, or iceberg leattuce. It does however have well prepared and seasoned meat and cilantro with salsa on a corn tortilla

>> No.12920058

Never thought id live to see gringos gentrifying a taco and miss the point so hard at the same time

>hand shreded cheddar cheese
>whole ass chunks of avocado thrown in
>grass fed (though maybe its a US thing given their actually superior beef grading system)
>ground beef
>iceberg lettuce just like that
>pico de gallo with a big tomato slice (not even have the decency to mince it or mix it with mashed avocado)
>the pretentiousness even for an american style taco

I just dont think you should take your meals so seriously and be pedantic about it. Enjoy your food tho.

The only true answer

Why do people call mexican sauces "Salsa" when speaking in english. I know that's sauce in Spanish, but we don't call french cheese "fromage" when speaking in English. Spanglish just sounds bad

I always found America's fascination with Mexican food weird. We never think about it, we mostly only share places to go. But Americans spend a lot of time discussing very simple recipes with a high degree of specificity that is not common in Mexican cooking. Here recipes are familiar and there are no set rules or recipes, so fighting over the right way of doing something does not make sense.

Heresy. Use either queso fresco or queso Chihuahua. Provolone or mozzarella are acceptable substitutes.

i don't know why white people have such a hard time making mexican food the right way when mexico is a bordering country.

mexicans put more effort into being american citizens than white people do making tacos

Use carne asada instead of ground beef, use a a corn tortilla not a taco shell, and add some diced red onions, cilantro, salsa, and lime.

Was that so hard?
