/ck/, let's be honest, cutting out beef as a meat wouldn't hurt all that much. It's the least important or delicious meat out of the beef-pork-chicken trifecta. Chicken is vastly more universal for any application and pork tastes a lot better. The only niches beef would genuinely be missed in are broths and mince, because that's where it really shines.
Just keep cows for dairy production.

Wether or not beef is the best/worst meat is subjective but i see where OP wants to go. Legit cows are super expensive on ressources to keep. They eat and drink a lot and the crops used to feed them also takes a lot of ressources. They cause a majority of the CO2 we release and take a looot of space due to their outdoor needs.

What about roast beef with Yorkshire puddings or some steak and mash? I don't even like beef all that much to begin with, but sometimes I just want a good steak. When I get into such a mood, I get myself some steak, anice porterhouse, cook it to rare/medium rare and eat that shit with my bare hands, gnawing flesh from bone.
While I prefer pork in nearly all other applications, even the best pork steak or pork chop can't fill the steak-shaped void in my soul when I want some fucking steak.
