To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to like blueberry muffins more then chocolate chip muffins. The sweetness is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of evolutionary nervous system development most of the taste will go over a typical eater's tongue. There's also the blueberry's dreamy melancholic tarty flavor, which is deftly woven into the overall taste- its personal philosophy draws heavily from Yukio Mishima's literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these flavors, to realize that they're not just tasty- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike blueberry muffins truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the romantic heroism in the blueberry's bitterness colliding with the mild sweetness of the batter, which itself is a cryptic reference to Mishima's Sea of Fertility tetralogy. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated sugar addicted simpletons scratching their heads in confusion at the blueberry muffin's genius flavor unfolds itself on their tastebuds. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a blueberry muffin tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kiddo.

This faggot never picked a blueberry in his life. OP will never know the intense pleasure of a fresh cooked blueberry pie picked from the mountain slopes abutting a glacial bog with a side of vanilla ice cream. I suppose you can call it living, but only barely. I honestly pity OP. I can't really speak ill of the damaged and damned.

How can you take a single bite from one of these without immediately feeling like you should've just got a brownie instead?

I'm living proof that that isn't true. Blueberry are the best muffins, but my IQ would be average at best

Who else uses citrus infused sugar in their blueberry muffins?
Only thing I can think of that beats a citrus blueberry muffin is a classic cake donut as far american breakfast pastry goes

Muffins are fucking garbage in the first place. Scones are infinitely superior, as are most other forms of breakfast pastries like croissants. Muffins almost always end up with undercooked bases and gummy texture.

I haven't tried it, but apparently ground coriander makes blueberry muffins much better.
